Bleeeeeugh

The title says it all, people of the world. Yes, yes it does.
*disclaimer, this is not a beauty blog post*

Aah, the life in Britain, how I love it.
NOT.
I do, however, love how if the sun is peeking behind those dull lifeless clouds, the whole of Britain strips.
In my opinion, it is not nice weather unless there is NO CLOUDS and it is above 15 degrees, which it never is.
It should be illegal to allow people to go out in 3 degrees, because there is a great danger of all my fingers falling off, which they have, on numerous accounts. Seeing as it is infact officially spring tomorrow, I am not looking forward. Why is that?
Well..
Britain gets nice weather in april, may, june. That is the time to have some good ol' beach time and cocktails (if I could drink them, that is). But no.
EXAMS
The pitiful month is coming, in 79 days to be exact. The rest of my life so far is put on hold so I can stay in my room going over how coasts are formed, and using mathematical equations that I will never not need a calculator for.
Life is dull.
on the 17th of June, I get freedom at last, when I can stay in bed until 10 (yeah, I'm an early bird..) and do whatever the hell I want.

On a more pleasant note, I made some Jamie Oliver raspberry and white chocolate muffins. omnomnomnom.

Life so far, in a nutshell:

  • The Kings Speech was THE MOST AMAZING THING IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE. COLIN FIRTH IS GOD.
  • I finished Assassin's Creed Brotherhood 2 months ago and am craving some more Desmond action
  • Me and my mates have decided to make a vlog about our summer happenings after exams are over and done with. Youtube, anyone?
  • Got myself some feb resolutions, since I never kept my january ones, typical.
  • Off to school tomorrow, after a good long week off - even though I studied every day.
  • I need a social life, it's just hidden right behind exams.
Toodles ma poodles.

Spot treatment? I think so!

Ok, so I might as well go ahead and say I'm no pro at treating spots. Through my teenage years (haha, still in them) I haven't had many creatures lurking on my skin, it's been pretty smooth and silky - I'm glad to say.
But once in a while, I do get the odd one in target areas, and they really bug me. BAM, you wake up with a big mountain of puffy red-ness for all the world to see. What do you do?

First step, as tempting as it may be, is not to touch it. Just imagine how much unseen dirt is on your hands (ever heard the fact that toilet seats are cleaner than your fingers, I know, gross!).
If the temptation is too much, then touch it if you must... Don't pop it until it looks really icky and yellow (gross, again)

Second step. I personally don't use any spot remover creams, lotions, blah blah blah, because I'd rather spend my mony on multi-functional products.
SUDOCREME.
Yes, you hear me right! This little bad boy is my number 1 product for getting rid of spots. Lathering it on over night does the trick to reduce its size and red-ness, but what about those early morning rush outs? Blending it in and letting it settle on your skin all day can really help reduce it, and using it at night as well? Perfect result.

My favourite product of the century? Vaseline. After the whole sudocreme fiasco is done and dusted, time to sort out the dry-ness. Vaseline has got to be my all-time, top of the list product EVER. Why? Because it's amazing. I have every kind - pot, tin, cocoa, you name it, I'll have it.
The more, the merrier. But be warned, don't use it if you are going out all day, you don't want to look like a deep-fat fryer.

Third and most crucial step. Don't, under no circumstances, apply any make-up to it! The only thing you're doing is making it worse. Let it breathe, give it some air. Not to mention that it looks really bad, all dry and flakey (which the Vaseline will sort out). I know it's hard walking out the door with a red dot in the middle of your face, but you'd rather have it for a day or two than a week, right?

Ta-da! I hoped this helped you, because it sure does work for me.

Skin care routine!

So I decided my first post for you all is a skin care routine/review of the products that I use.
Depending on what day it is, I love using facemasks. I use a facemask about once every two weeks (so it fits in with the other products I use)

So this is the first facemask that I use.
I am in love with this product. Its smell isn't so great, and it stings a little when you're applying it (but that means it's working, right?)
I really like how it doesn't set into one of those hard masks, it just hardens into a paste.
My skin feels great after using it, and it stays like it all week.

Second, which I tend to use every Sunday, is the Wave by Neutrogena. IT IS AMAZING.
Literally, it does everything that it says on the pack. My skin feels amazing after using it, and really soft to the touch. The little cleansing pad add-ons smell really good, but don't lather up as much as the advert appears to, but do if you scrub well enough.
It's not pricey, and I recommend it to everyone.

This is the cleanser I use at night, along with the buffer-pad thing from The Body Shop (scratches a little but works a treat!)
I know, I'm dragging a little by saying that every product I use is amazing and I love them, but they wouldn't be in my skin care routine if I didn't.
I use this cleanser every night, and it makes my skin feel really soft in the morning, and any blemishes or flake-ness is removed.

Every morning I use the Simple refreshing facial wash, because it's lighter than this one, and it just makes me feel really fresh when I wake up.

Every day and every night without fail I use this moisturiser. This is by far the best money I've ever spent in the Body Shop. Paired up with the facial wash, it's a skin care essential.

So there we have it! My first real blog post, and my skin care routine, hope you enjoyed.
Lot's of happiness!
